I am an Artist and Associate Lecturer at Newcastle University, U.K working in the Dept of Fine Art and in Architecture, Planning and Landscape. I teach Drawing and Fine Art and work across media boundaries.
I was a Creative Agent and Creative Practitioner with North and South Tyneside (Customs House) for the entirety of the Creative Partnerships program, working with a variety of Change and Enquiry schools. I work as a freelance artist, educator and researcher within and around creative networks and am keen on making connections locally, nationally and internationally.
I believe passionately in Arts and Creative praxis.
My specific research is in Drawing and thinking and investigating error within the creative process. I am the founder of the Arthouse Programme in Whitley Bay Film Festival (and one of the artistic directing team of the festival) which has been going since 2010 and won the Journal Culture Award for Best Event on Tyneside for the 2012-3 festival.

With your experience of being an artist, a Creative Practitioner, a Creative Agent, an educator and a researcher too, it would be great to learn about how you perceive the roles and what you believe is helpful/necessary for an artist/practitioner working in education and participatory settings.
Please let me know if you had any questions about the platform or our work.
