The first International Creative Practitioners Forum took place in Vilnius (Lithuania) on the 22-24 of May, 2013. Around 80 artists and other creative professionals from Belgium, the Netherlands, UK, Germany, Sweden, Croatia, Hungary, Czech Republic, Finland, Italy, Norway and Lithuania gathered as a community of practitioners to connect, share and learn from each other. The Forum was organised by the founding partners in the emerging International Creative Education Network (ICEnet). The programme was focused mainly on sharing practice on how to develop the creativity of children and young people and was composed of a wide range of workshops exploring creative learning practices all developed and led by creative practitioners. All the workshops included time for discussion and reflection. The Forum ended with an Open Space event.
The Forum was hosted by Creative Partnerships Lithuania team in Ugdymo plėtotės centras, in close collaboration with Creativity, Culture and Education, the United Kingdom, Artists group “Žuvies akis” (“Fish Eye”), Lithuania, and other ICEnet partners.
The International Creative Practitioners Forum was generously supported by the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Culture.
