    Hi Sara

St. Georges line of inquiry was

    • Pupils to persevere when problem solving

    • Working from 2D and carrying this through to 3D

    • Pupils to become more independent learners through a cultural investigation of shapes and patterns

    • Children to work collaboratively and independently with confidence, focus and inquisitiveness

    • Measurable learning

Pupils to work towards a final end piece collaboratively on a group project.

Using a dodecahedron geometric shape I prepared an activity where we carried on with the exploration of maps. Maths, paper manipulation, and perseverance really caught their attention and focus. Also working within old books with hammers, coloured threads and pins again using mathematical language engaged the pupils immensely. A small number of pupils thought about giving up but chose to persevere as the threading and weaving task was quite a skill.

The Skyscrapecity was the pupils ideas and the led on it.

    Hope this helped.

I am finalising a report that I will be bring with me to Karachi.

All the very best for your initial meetings.

Let me know if you need anything else.
