Dimitris was born in Patras in 1987 but moved to Athens to study International and European studies in Panteion University. However, his passion for theatre wouldn’t let him settle down! It was 2009 when while in drama school he volunteered for Athens’s International Street Theatre Festival. The first resulted in several performances from 2013 to 2017 either as an actor or as a director assistant. The latter evolved as he was working for ISTFest for 7 years, and ended up with Dimitris being a core member of the creative team. Whether in acting or cultural management, from his own theatre team to European projects, he was always experimenting with innovative ideas and public non-theatrical space, trying to make theatre accessible to all. Currently he is trying to discover how theatre can help education. Because expressing yourself is even more important when you are a kid!
