Artists in Creative Education – Pakistan and UK

This two-part artists exchange programme enables three artists and one partner's representative from each country to get involved in an exchange, share and develop ideas, work collaboratively and reflect deeply. This is supported by school placements and professional development programme. The UK part of the exchange is taking place on 4–22 May 2013 in Birmingham.

The project is a result of collaboration between four main partners:

1. Ikon, Birmingham, England
2. Creativity, Culture and Education (CCE), Newcastle upon Tyne, England
3. Vasl Artists’ Collective, Karachi, Pakistan; and
4. British Council Pakistan.

It is based on the Artists in Creative Education (AiCE) project developed and launched in 2010, which was led by CCE in partnership with three other European cultural and educational organisations: Drommarnas Hus, Sweden, KulturKontakt Austria and former Kunstenaars&Co (now Cultuur-Ondernemen), Netherlands.
